I'd be very skeptical of those Alibaba postings. $108 for an Article quality leather burrow? I doubt it... they appear to have taken the photos from the Article website. Best case they're selling some very low quality copies, worst case it'southward a scam of some sort.

I failed to look at it that way. But I also see how they could afford to do that. It's a minimal order of forty pieces. Then $4000+ on an order where they underpay workers and get lesser dollar materials they could easily practise that. I was digging through article and others trying to find who the manufacturer is and I can't seem to find any. So who knows?

For the about part, no. Peradventure if you're purchasing directly from an artisan. Commercial and residential piece of furniture is sold similar cars are sold. You go to the dealer who is authorized to social club from the factory. The factory just sells to dealers. This isn't a scam, information technology's just how they do business organisation. I retrieve that nearly merchandise goes to market place this way.

Yep. From a local article of furniture builder.

You lot can pay $2000 for a $500 sofa shipped from China or $3,000 for a $3,000 sofa made in your dwelling boondocks.

Please just back up a local business organization who is buying and marker up to support their families as well.

You lot can always just bank check local stores and mostly, they are still using someone that's made in America. Material is what costs the most money, not the frames

Commodity is 100% not local. I would never try to undercut a local business. A large company like them with the all-encompassing markups they do (2000%-3000%) is the thing I am trying to avoid.

I become that. Just saying get explore your metropolis and discover someone local to purchase from. No manufacturer will sell directly. Their dealers would never work with them once more.

Or if someone did, they'd all go to a different manufacturer. It's in the sense, but not ever, toll equates to value in the Furniture world.

But I've got a visitor I know that does leather that supplies to ikea and audi. Only saying that because of the strict quality standards IKEA puts on their things.

The only loophole some really small people utilize is they say they are interior designers and can larn a manufactures permission to ship you goods that way. Existence an bodily retailer tho, the only visitor I can call back that would ship you goods is Ashley article of furniture and they will basically ship anyone with the cash and a business license goods. Most places won't send yous goods if yous don't have a warehouse accost though because well-nigh piece of furniture trucks offload from a elevator gate. The just other form of ordering from manufacturers is containers but it'south the same thing the modest amount of coin you could save is kinda off put by all the extra steps and other qualifications needed
